This unit is about introducing organisational culture, organisational and individual values, and their impact on behaviour.

At the end of the unit the following competences will have been achieved and the learner will be able to:

  • Determine a framework for analysing organisational culture
  • Explain internal and external factors that could influence organisational culture
  • Evaluate the current organisational culture
  • Discuss the concept of values to an organisation
  • Outline the concept of values to an individual
  • Describe how the manager’s personal values can influence interaction with team members
  • Analyse how organisational values can affect organisational behaviour
  • Analyse how organisational values can affect individual behaviour
  • Identify how individual values can influence the behaviours of a team
