Starting an internal audit role means getting to grips with new responsibilities, concepts and ways of working. A practical introduction helps new auditors understand both what they are doing and why it matters.
Understand the purpose as well as the process
BHBi’s Introduction to Internal Auditing course is designed for new entrants, career changers and organisations welcoming colleagues into their audit teams. It explains the role of internal audit and follows the process from planning and fact finding through to reporting and follow-up.
The two-day course is certified by The CPD Certification Service and taught by experienced practitioners. Discussion and examples connect technical ideas with situations delegates may encounter in their own organisations.
A shared foundation helps when bringing a new colleague into a team. It gives people a common starting point for discussing evidence, controls and the purpose of an audit, with time to explore questions that terminology alone cannot answer.
BHBi delivers the course in Cardiff and also offers virtual tuition. See the course page for the programme and current dates, or contact the team to discuss whether it suits your role or a colleague’s development needs.
