Creating a High Performance Team

Performance Management gives an understanding and awareness of the theory and practice of the following areas:

 

  • the difference between a group and a team
  • the practice of team formation, and consideration of the “ideal” team members,
  • the “gestation period” for teams leading to high performance 
  • the importance of agreeing objectives, and allocate work to your team 
  • the importance of ensuring you develop an environment of trust and support 
  • the importance assessing performance and providing feedback
  • the importance of time management
  • the importance of project management
  • the ability to manage conflict within the workplace
  • the ability to handle poor performance.

  • Motivation, and Performance Management

 

 

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Explain the links between individual, team and organisational objectives
  • Identify the selection of and agree individual and team objectives
  • Identify and agree areas of individual and team responsibility in achieving objectives
  • Identify the need to create an environment of trust and support with others.
