Course Description

This course provides a detailed examination of how to practically conduct audit assignments, capture evidence, design testing strategies, and appropriate sampling methods.

A one day course.

At the end of the workshop, you will have:

• An understanding of the importance of capturing and recording evidence,
• An ability to devise a testing strategy within operating constraints,
• An understanding of a variety of methods of testing and sampling, including utility software and computer assisted audit tools & techniques,
• An understanding of interpreting test results.

• Sample sizes, costs and constraints of testing
• Documenting tests
• Evidence – documentation
• Drawing conclusions from small sample size
• Computer data mining, utility software, logs, interrogation routines (including limitations)
